Information Technology & Network Administration
The Information Technology and Network Administration aims to provide the best ICT solutions based on a strategic plan to develop academic and administrative services at the University of Khartoum, as well as to develop ICT at the University of Khartoum, through the tasks and functions assigned to it, which are preparing general policies and programs and setting plans to develop information systems and networks. The administration is considered the central body in the university responsible for providing technical consultations to the various faculties and units. It is the central body implementing projects and providing technical support to university members.

Systems and Software
Before the war, the university had produced more than 10 major systems locally that were developed using free open source software. The administration also provides an e-mail service, websites for professors’ CVs, a website for university theses and dissertations that contains more than 7,000 records, and an electronic catalog system in the library that contains more than 160,000 records from the library’s contents.
